Donald Trump has won the majority of Electoral College votes needed to become the next US president.
A total of 538 electors, who were chosen in every state and Washington DC, cast their votes on Tuesday based on November's election results.
CNN says Republican Trump won 312 electoral votes, while Vice President Kamala Harris of the Democratic Party won 226.
Congressional lawmakers will formally tally the votes on January 6 and officially declare Trump the next president.
Trump will be inaugurated on January 20.
